| FAMU's College of Pharmacy awarded $14 million grant Mon, 14 Jul 2008 11:16:00 EST Florida A&M University is the only institution in the state to receive a $14 million grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health/National Centers for Research Resources. The grant was awarded to 18 universities across the country -- mostly medical schools, said dean of FAMU College of Pharmacy Henry Lewis III. The dollars will go to FAMU's College of Pharmacy to be used for drug discovery and research. "The grant award will support research projects such as drug discovery, neurodegeneration, nanomedicine, biotechnology and pilot projects," Lewis said. "We are elated to have been selected."
