| Here's what's happening this weekend Fri, 18 Apr 2008 00:00:00 EST The pipes are calling young and old to the Tallahassee Highland Games & Celtic Festival at the North Florida Fairgrounds, corner of South Monroe Street and Paul Russell Road. The event begins with a Whisky Tasting Seminar at 6 p.m. today. Advance reservations are required. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. The festival proper starts at 9 a.m. Saturday and includes the athletic competition, bagpipe bands, Celtic dancers, exhibits, vendors, an ancient weapons show, a Scottish re-enactor encampment and more. Tickets at the gate are $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and college students, $6 for children and free for kids younger than 6.
